In addition, we are now working to boost the turnover of aluminum-die-cast components for household electric appliances and for automotive parts, meeting usersf needs through tie-ups with leading overseas manufacturers.
In the field of store, housing and building materials business, we support the promotion of streamlining, power saving and cost management of each business from the design to the construction and maintenance of franchise store construction.
In the materials segment, we are dealing in lead bullion and related processed products, mainly for the markets of China and Southeast Asia, where we have a solid sales network that includes overseas subsidiaries and affiliates, our production bases. As part of our commitment to environmental protection, we are also actively promoting the business of recycling automotive batteries and other products.
Fulfilling Demand for Raw Materials, Processed Products, and New Materials
This division is composed of three business units: the Special Steel Business Unit, the Ferrous Raw Materials and Minerals Business Unit, and the IT and Environment Materials Business Unit.
In the products segment, we have many yearsf experience and knowledge in transactions in bearing steels, which are used mainly in automotive bearings, and processed products, and we are exporting them primarily to North America, Europe, and China. In the area of common steels, we are focusing on high-value-added processed-product-related transactions based on tie-ups with our affiliates engaged in processing and marketing.
In the materials segment, we are meeting customersf needs through high-quality and steady-supply sources for import transactions involving ferrous alloy centering on ferrochromium, a raw material used in the manufacture of special steels such as stainless steels, as well as through the development and import of new materials intended for use in consumer electronics equipment, the information industry, and environment-related fields.
